The Project

The Blancart brand is a project dedicated to creative research and experimentation with plant and mineral materials. By collecting plants, earth, and natural waste, we transform what nature offers into 100% natural pigments and products.

Our work is entirely handcrafted and includes:

  • Extraction of plant and mineral pigments;
  • Manual production of paints and fine art materials;
  • Natural dyeing;
  • Natural cosmetics and eco-friendly everyday products developed in line with the same principles of sustainability and respect for nature;
  • In addition, we hold occasional workshops on creating ecological cleaning solutions and natural detergents, in partnership with certified trainers, sharing knowledge that promotes a more conscious and healthy daily life;
  • Workshops and Training (Online | In-person) on pigments, dyeing, and ecological practices related to colour and natural materials.

The Process

Each stage is carried out manually, respecting the natural rhythm of our raw material. We produce in small batches, using artisanal techniques and 100% natural materials, free from pesticides and sourced from responsible cultivation.
Each creation is the result of a Slow Art practice, revealing unique colours and textures, always varying according to the season and the essence of each pigment.

For us, creating responsibly is a way of caring.

Raw Material

Nature is our starting point.
Local plants reveal unique hues that tell stories of the land and the seasons.
Our practice is based on the principles of the circular economy and environmental respect.
We work with local and natural raw materials, from indigenous plants, minerals from the Oeste region, organic waste, and we find solutions with low ecological impact.
Nothing is wasted: each extraction, each residue, and each hue are part of a natural and continuous cycle. For us, creating responsibly is a way of caring.

The Space

We also have a space where you can participate in workshops, visit the manufacturing studio, and see the cultivated land.

The space also hosts workshops and training sessions on natural pigment extraction, plant dyeing, colour appreciation, natural cosmetics, artisanal soap making, and ecological cleaning products, available in person and online.

We also offer experiences with accommodation, providing a complete immersion: learn, create, and discover the Oeste region, its natural heritage, and its colours.

About the Founder

Tânia Blanquart is an engineer, professor, researcher, and PhD student. Her career blends science, education, sustainability, territory, and creativity, with plants as the common thread connecting knowledge, experimentation, and dissemination.

Curious about the origin of things, she develops a practice based on observation, experimentation, and knowledge sharing, building bridges between plants, creation, and learning.

The knowledge acquired over the years, coupled with experimental practice and the development of educational projects, has given rise to an approach that unites research and creation, inspired by traditional knowledge, biodiversity, and the relationship between plants and territory.
