Powder Extract

Powder extract obtained from Rubia peregrina L., a native plant from Portugal’s Oeste region. The roots of this wild species concentrate natural pigments that produce warm tones ranging from coral red to earthy pink.

Process

The plants are collected locally and responsibly, supporting preservation of the species and natural regeneration. The roots are cleaned, dried, concentrated and ground into a fine, homogeneous powder.

Applications

• Tempera;
• Watercolour and water-based paints;
• Natural binders such as gum arabic, casein and plant glues;
• Oil mixtures as a dry pigment;
• Wood and handmade acrylic paints.
